Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the Compass: Find Way Back mobile application. By installing or using the app you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Provider
The app is provided by Nadzeya Yashchuk, a sole proprietor based in Wals-Siezenheim, Austria. Contact: contact@nadzeyayashchuk.com (see Impressum).
2. Safety notice — please read
The app is a navigation aid, not a safety guarantee. It depends on your phone’s GPS, compass sensor and battery, all of which can fail, drift or be unavailable. The heading, arrow, distance and walking time are estimates and may be affected by buildings, terrain, weather, magnetic interference or a low battery. The arrow shows the straight-line direction, not a walkable route.
Do not rely on the app as your only means of finding your way. You are solely responsible for your own safety and decisions. The app must not be used where doing so is unsafe or unlawful, including while driving.
3. Licence to use
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for its intended personal purpose. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or misuse the app, interfere with its operation, or attempt unauthorised access.
4. Free version and Compass Pro
The free version includes the compass, coordinates and altitude, one saved place, and the direction and distance back to it. It is supported by advertising. Optional Compass Pro removes ads and unlocks unlimited saved places, photos and notes, the history of places and extra compass faces.
- Compass Pro is a one-time purchase (no subscription). The price is shown in the app in your local currency and may vary by region and over time.
- Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account. Purchases can be restored on other devices signed in to the same store account via “Restore Purchase”.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their respective policies.
5. Advertising
The free version displays third-party advertisements. We do not control the content of ads and are not responsible for third-party offers. See the Privacy Policy for how advertising data is handled and how to manage your choices.
6. Your content
Places, notes and photos you create are stored on your device and remain yours. You are responsible for backing them up; uninstalling the app or losing the device may delete them.
7. Availability
The app is provided on an “as available” basis. We may update, change or discontinue features at any time.
8. Intellectual property
The app’s design, branding, copy and original code are protected by intellectual-property laws and remain the property of the provider or its licensors.
9. No warranty
The app is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or uninterrupted availability.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the provider is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the app. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer-protection rights and liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Austria, without regard to conflict-of-law rules and without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights of your country of residence.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms; continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be reflected here with a revised date.
